They say charity begins at home. Before we leave a comment here. Lets look at the overall picture regarding the situation in our home countries. Where have we gone wrong and what are we doing to correct our past mistakes. Many of us go to study…

Help! Help! Help! Haiti…..in Need of all the Help the World can Offer…..

On (specificaly depending on where you reside in this world) the morning of Wednesday 13th January 2010, breaking news on the Haitian earthquake was well on air. Pictures of disturbing images on TV and internet gave a clue of scale of the damage. I could not help shedding tears when I saw helpless people calling for help; some trapped and still alive in the buildings with no means of escape. Cameras revealed a bit of what happened. On one side you could see somebody dead, on the other side…See More

Thanks Denis for your response. Before, I had checked the website and I don't think they offer scholarships for masters students; especially in engineering. Any more suggestion? You are welcome. Again, thanks.

Deferring Studies and COP 15 Scholarship______Aalborg University

I applied for a course in Aalborg university. However, owing to the circumstances beyond my control, I did not manage to join. I love the university because it not only offers what I wished to pursue but also offers it in the way I found it the best and which suits my desired way of learning-problem based. Applying again can be a little bit costly and may not be necessary at all if the university allows deferring of studies and was the COP 15 scholarship was only for 2009/2010 academic year?. I…See More

It must have true he saw snow for the first time assuming it was his first time out of his home country. or he might have seen in TV but had never had any practical experience. Back at his home, there is nothing like snow since temperatures are…

Climate Change

They say the greatest threat facing humanity today is the effects brought about by climate change. But as "to who, how and when should do something" debate continues, more and more damage is inflicted on the environment. Perhaps the urgency of addressing this matter is not a priority for some since the effects are already felt far from them. But if the carbon emissions really contributes to global warming, the ultimately all of us will be affected someday. Some scientists are pushing a line of…See More

Getting permit to Live temporarily, Study and Work in Denmark

Thumbnail
Getting such a great opportunity is mutually beneficial for both the issuer and the seeker. In some places for example, there is an abundant and under-utilized talented manpower who cannot get to play a role in what they can best do. Granted with an opportunity like this, they can bring excellent results. Some students complete college, have desire to further studies yet they have limited access to finance. The option for them may be to study as they work. If this arrangement is implemented to…See More

Hello Renata,
First Happy New Year! I am fine. I am grateful for your answer. I can now understand what you meant. You had said 10MW a year, which was a bit confusing. Otherwise I believe this kind of sharing will shade more light on our field. Again, thanks!

Hello Bernard,

How are you? About your question...when I say '10MW' wind turbine, it means the rated output of the generator is 10MW. In general, wind turbines produce rated output when the wind speed is about 15 m/s or greater. 10MW describes the rate of energy production (power output). In other words, after one hour of operation at 10MW the machine would have produced 10MWh of energy.
