When I applied for the Wind Energy master course one of my ambitions that I mentioned in my motivation letter was to develop renewable energy for isolated communities. Last week I saw that there will be the Risø International Energy Conference in 2011. One of its topics is creating access to energy for the two billion poorest people in the world, that today only have energy from firewood. Internship in The Netherlands!

I just moved to theNetherlands,more specifically, a city called Utrecht. I couldn't believe when I gotthis internship because it was not my plan move to another countryduring the summer. Public Transportation for International students !

International students in Denmark do not have the right to a discount in the public transportation, as is usual. I went to a DSB office in the Lyngby station and they asked me if I receive money from the Danish government. I said yes, and then they asked me if I have a blue card, and I said no. Then they said that I do not have a discount for public transportation.I pay taxes as well here and I'm wondering why the international students are treated different.
