Hi all,
Now I am going to tell you people about what I felt after coming in Denmark? I think my blogs may be very helpful in the real sense for the people who are coming from asian countries to Aalborg, and I ll try my best to put every pros and cons about here!
Well! I came here on 25th of Audust and my plane landed at Copenhagen airport at 20:15. I were not having further flight tickets to Aalborg so I decided to take train and making my carbon footprint a lesser one! Thats the first thing I did particularly in perspective of CLIMATE CHANE after coming in Denmark. I could not enjoy my first travel of train from Copenhagen to Aalborg because it was night and I was not able to see through the windows! To me natural beauty is always very important and I were eager to see how it looks in Denmark but were not able to do so! (Its another story to enjoy the travel from Aalborg to Copenhagen on 1st of September while we were going to attend Official Reception, and I ll add a further blog regarding this very soon). After having a long journey of about 5 hours, at last I were at my final destination on 26th of August. Then I went to Student house in Gammel Torv 10, although it was very near to train station, but I were having lots of luggage to carry so I had a TAXI, and you cant believe me it took 65 DKK from me for a distance of just 10 minutes walk! So, the very first thing I realized was Denmark is a very expensive country to live in!
And during my further stay here, I experienced that the things are very costly here with comparison to most of other countries! But I really appreciate that Danish people are very much punctual. They are very helping and nice to strangers also! But the main problem I really encountered here was LANGUAGE! Although all the people can speak very good english but its written nowhere! So, I am very much thankful to my Buddy who helped me in Supermarkets to buy things as all the things were having lables and instructions in Danish language. Here I realized that I must take the Danish language classes as its the most important thing to live here!
In the first week I also visited University Campus, International Office, Civil Registration Office, So on the whole I had my 1st week a very very busy one!
