Samsø visit

Thanks to Susanne for making our trip to Samsø possible. Aside seeing the beauty of Samsø and its carbon neutral and sustainability status, it also served as a last chance to see some of my colleague COP 15 students before completing our studies.  It has been an educative and fun excursion from the bus we used during trip to the various sites to its beautiful landscape and renewable energy generating plants. Samsø’s success as a carbon neutral island has taught me the importance of involving the local community in developmental policies and most importantly empowering local craftsmen in solving local technical problems. Wind, straw and the sun which are underutilize or not used in many parts of the world are utilized to their fullest sustainably. Below are some interesting pictures from Samsø………………………..
