My Study in Denmark

I could not have found a better way to end this year's summer vacation than attending a summer school. This one was special. The Danish California Renewable Energy Programme is a joint venture between Aalborg University and the University of California in the field of renewable energy and takes place in the respective host universities alternatively.

This year, it was in Denmark in collaboration with a host of institutions namely DTU and Riso. It was a healthy mix of work and play as during the first week, we visited various energy related establishments on Lolland, Samso, Riso and Avedore power plant to name a few. The last two weeks were spent at Aalborg University wherein we were involved with problem oriented project based learning in interdisciplinary groups.

For me, it was a great opportunity to meet new people from California and Denmark. Since a majority of the participants were from a technical background, I had the opportunity to learn some technical aspects of renewable energy planning.
